Saudi Arabia: Maersk Arabia Logistics Services has signed a contract with Zamil Steel Construction Company for the construction of a building materials terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port in Jeddah. Local press has reported that the terminal will consist of multiple warehouses, a logistics yard and office facilities. It will stock glass and stone wool insulation and insulation panels, along with other products.
ThermoBor mulls building regional office in Bahrain
05 February 2019Bahrain: Turkey’s ThermoBor has met with government officials to discuss setting up a regional office. The hub will serve Bahrain and the wider Gulf market, according to the Bahrain News Agency.
Kingspan opens Singapore office
02 October 2017Singapore: Kingspan has officially opened an office in Singapore. Irish Deputy Prime Minster and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald, opened the site while leading a five-day trade and investment mission to Southeast Asia.
“Future growth will come from markets such as Asia, Latin America and maybe Africa at a later stage,” said Manuel Furer, Kingspan’s Regional Managing Director for Australasia and South East Asia.
Kingspan has listed its QuadCore insulation panels with the Singaporean authorities. The company also hopes to open an innovation centre in the region at some point.
Va-Q-Tec to move headquarters to Würzburg
30 May 2017Germany: Va-Q-Tec is preparing to move its headquarters to Würzburg from Dürrbachau. The new premises are intended to allow the producer of vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) and other thermal products to bring together five departments that were previously at different locations. The move is planned to start in June 2017 with the production department scheduled to relocate to the new headquarters by the start of 2018.
